Each year, it’s estimated that over 70 million abortions are performed globally. What can be done?
Of all unintended pregnancies, 6 out of 10 end in induced abortion.
According to the World Health Organization, 61% of all unintended pregnancies, and 3 out of 10 of all pregnancies, end in induced abortion. Devaluing unborn children remains a tragic opportunity for the Body of Christ to care for mothers and babies.
We affirm God’s good design for life communicated so clearly in Psalm 139. “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.”
Over the course of just the last few decades, over a billion babies have been aborted across the globe. Sometimes because of gender or potential health defects or disabilities, tragic loss of life robs our world of untold numbers of people created in God’s image.
This loss of life takes a tremendous toll on these mothers and fathers as well. The trauma and pain and shame associated with abortion lingers far beyond the act. And for parents who choose life, the difficulties and costs of raising children cannot be overstated.
How can God’s people care for the babies, women, and men at all stages of this journey? How can we pursue policy and ministry to respond to the rapidly changing regulatory and medical environment around us?
“My frame was not hidden from you,

the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them.”
